JD Institute of Fashion Technology Goa was established in 1988 as an educational unit of the JD Educational Trust. Today, the institute has established itself as a recognised institution for art and design courses. JD Institute of Fashion Technology Goa courses includes a number of B.Sc, PG diploma, advance diploma, and diploma programmes in various specialisations related to the design industry. 

The UG degree programmes at JD Institute Goa are affiliated with Goa University. The institute is recognised and accredited by a number of bodies such as Cumulus, Indo Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Indo French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Council of EU Chambers of Business in India, and the Education Quality Accreditation Commission (EQAC). It also provides study-abroad opportunities through its association with KOEFIA (Italy), National Design Institute (Russia), London College of Fashion, Chelsea College of Arts (London), and Georgian College (Canada). 

The JD Institute of Fashion Technology Goa campus is located in Panjim, Goa. The campus offers all required academic and other facilities to help its students push every boundary. It also organises several events, workshops, seminars, academic exhibitions, and industry visits to equip its students with both theoretical and practical knowledge.
